The rambles were started in 1994 to enable people to socialise together in an active way and for newcomers to the parish to get to know others. We walk all year round, weather permitting, usually on the first Sunday afternoon of the month; details are in the newsletter the Sunday before the ramble is being held. Numbers vary, according to the weather and the type of walk, from about half a dozen up to as many as forty, although around 12 to 15 is the norm. We usually meet up at a pub, where a few of us will have lunch first, and then begin the walk from there.
All are welcome, Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Sometimes a lift can be arranged for those without transport.
