The Group was established in December 1992 at the initiative our of the Parish Priest to enable us as a community to care for one another and especially those most in need. Our starting point was a List, provided by the S. V.P., of older people who might welcome a visit. Apart from making such visits, we have listed 38 retirement and nursing homes in Seaford and, within the limits of our resources, we pay periodic visits to them. One of our members pays weekly visits to such of our parishioners as are in Eastbourne hospital. The Group also arranged a reception for newcomers to the Parish and hopes to repeat the exercise.
