The Prayer Line came from an idea from a parishioner. Anyone who would like an intention prayed for should contact one of the organisers. The first Person on the Prayer Line list prays for the intention and passes it on to the next person and so on. We are always pleased to hear of any outcome from our prayers.

THE PRAYER LINE has been operating in our Parish for many years and is essentially a telephone link which enables a number of parishioners (including some who are housebound) to be contacted and their prayers obtained.  Anyone inside (or outside) the Parish first contacts Mary Wiltshire (896386) with their request and it will be passed on.  Their intention will be prayed for by the group.  Confidentiality is always observed.

There is no set formula for prayers.  Each individual member will pray in their own chosen way.  We tend not to use answer phones as the person being contacted could be away for some considerable time.  If there is no answer, then the person next on the line will be contacted, the 'missing link' can be filled in later.

We often get requests from outside the Parish.  This is encouraging as obviously people think it is a good idea and value our help.  Most, of course, are much closer to home in Seaford and around.  It is an excellent way for those parishioners who are housebound to continue to be part of the 'working life' of the Parish.  We value their prayers especially.

Numbers have fallen somewhat over time, some have died, moved etc.  If you would like to join us, do please let me know.  You will be very very welcome.  To put it bluntly - more power to our elbows (in a spiritual way, of course).
